Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth on Sunday inspected work progress of elevated corridor at Ratu Road and directed the officials to make play ground for children under the corridor. During the inspection, all the senior officials of NHAI including Ranchi MLA CP Singh were present. Minister Seth asked the officials to complete the work by November 15. So that on November 15, the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, Jharkhand's first elevated corridor can be dedicated to the people of Ranchi.
Minister Seth said that there will be no compromise in the quality of work. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate the year 2025 as Tribal Pride Day. November 15 is also the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. What can be a greater fortune than the inauguration of this corridor on the birth anniversary of such a great personality? The minister said that today there is no ground left for children to play. There is a space of 31 meters under the corridor. Ensure the arrangement for children to play in this space between 9 to 11 pm. This facility should be available throughout the day on Sunday. Children will be able to play volleyball, badminton, carrom, indoor games by putting nets on both sides as per convenience. Ensure such arrangements so that Jharkhand can inspire the whole country.
Sohrai painting and tribal painting should be done above and below the flyover. Construct a hanging garden on the pillar. Ensure the arrangement of lights above the flyover and colourful lights below. Ensure the arrangement of cuts wherever the population is high and where there is a market and there is no parking arrangement, leave space for parking there. Construct the drain keeping the water level in mind. Seth said that water should not flow on the road during the rainy season. Ensure arrangements that if there is any other need for this work, we will fulfill it.
Ranchi MLA CP Singh also suggested to the officials and asked them to work keeping in mind the convenience of the people. In today's inspection, Mahanagar President Varun Sahu, Satyanarayan Singh, Lalit Ojha, Sanjay Jaiswal, Councilor Omprakash, Mandal President Subhash Pandey, Omprakash Pandey and hundreds of workers were present.
The elevated road will be four lane. It can be climbed from Pandra Road or Itki Road. It will go from Ratu Road Chowk to Zakir Hussain Park via Piska turn. Similarly, there will be a way to get on Itki Road or Pandra Road by climbing the elevated road from near Zakir Hussain Park. Vehicles will not get a chance to get on and off in between.
NHAI officials said that there is a lot of pressure of vehicles on Ratu Road intersection. Due to this there is a jam here. With the opening of the elevated road and the use of the ramp, the pressure of vehicles on Ratu Road intersection will be reduced. Vehicles from this area will also pass through the elevated road. Tender has been given for making ramp on elevated road. Presently, soil testing is going on.
According to departmental officials, after the construction of elevated road, the road below will also be constructed. This road will be absolutely sparkling. A sparkling road will be constructed till the end of the elevated road. Footpath is to be made over the drain. The entire area adjacent to the drain will also be paved. So that vehicles can run on it as well. This scheme has been included along with the elevated road scheme. Presently, the construction of elevated road will be done on priority basis. After this, ramp is to be constructed. Then the road below the elevated road will be constructed. The road will be made by covering the drain.
