Most of the services related to learning driving license in the state have been started under the faceless process. Now the applicant does not need to come to the transport offices to avail these services. The applicant can obtain his learning license by applying online and completing the prescribed process.
Pollution testing centers are operated to protect the environment from damage caused by harmful gases emitted from vehicles. In the state, pollution control certificates are issued online by integrating them on the vehicle portal. This system was initially completed as a pilot project in the Bhopal district. The Transport Department is now implementing this system throughout the state.
In the last 6 months, Automated Testing Stations (ATS) have been established in Gwalior, Indore and Jabalpur in the state to conduct fitness tests in vehicles in a transparent manner without human intervention, to which registration certificates have been issued by the department. Primary registration certificate has been issued for the construction of 8 Automated Testing Stations and. primary registration certificate has already been issued for the construction of another A.T.S.
To provide public services related to the department to the general public, the Transport Department has taken 31 essential services of the department under the Public Service Guarantee Act 2010. Along with this, 7 services of the department have been included under the ‘Samadhan Ek Diwas’ scheme.
