Rumors spread thick and fast after three graves were found in the Amarnath Colony area of Kolar, prompt action by administration and police helped in avoiding ruckus at the spot by large gathering.
Sensation prevailed in the area after locals informed the police that children were buried in these graves. As soon as the news spread a huge crowd gathered at the spot in no time of the community of same belief.
Police team of Kolar police with senior officials rushed to the spot to handle the situation.
The SHO of Kolar police station Sanjay Soni along with his staff reached the spot and started investigation during which it was verified by the team that the bodies of dogs were buried in all the three graves and it has been witnessed by locals due to which no complaint was made leaving no scope for taking action against anyone.
Soni said that there was information about three graves in the field behind Amarnath Colony. He reached the spot on Saturday afternoon after receiving the information. The reason for suspicion was the smaller size of all the three graves. Hence, people believed that children were buried in the graves.
The team completed verification in which it was found that the people of the colony had buried their dead dogs in these graves.
Eyewitnesses were also found who said that only dogs were buried in the graves. Hence, the crowd was sent away after providing satisfactory explanation.
