Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the ‘Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana’ provides a unique opportunity for the youth to gain practical experience in top companies in India so that they can strengthen their skills and employability. The 12-month internship under the scheme will provide industry-oriented training to the youth and will also provide employment opportunities in the future. Chief Minister Yadav has appealed to the youth to take advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana. Applications to join the scheme can be filed till 10th November.
Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs to make the youth employable. The objective of this scheme is to provide internship opportunities to the youth in the top 500 companies of India so that they can gain real work experience and enhance their professional skills.
The main objective of the scheme is to introduce youth to the business environment. The internship will allow them to acquire knowledge through industry-oriented training, the latest technology, and processes. The scheme will not only make the youth efficient but will also help them in getting employment opportunities in the future.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana, youth between 21 to 24 years, whose educational qualification is 10th or above will be eligible.
The selected youth will be given a stipend of Rs 5,000 per month during the internship period and a lump sum amount of Rs 6,000 on completion of the internship. This internship programme will be for 12 months.
