For accelerating industrial development across Uttar Pradesh, various plans are being fast-tracked by state industrial authorities. A detailed action plan has been set to develop Salempur in Hathras district into a major industrial area.

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has now begun the transformation process, which will be executed through the appointment of a contractor agency and work allocation. The development will be conducted in two phases using Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) methods, with a total investment of Rs 325.54 crore. The contractor agency is tasked with completing all construction and development work within 18 months.

Following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the UPSIDA will develop 483 acres of land in Salempur as an industrial area. This area may be expanded further if needed. According to the master plan, the first phase will involve developing 799,899 square metres and the second phase will cover 328,572 square metres as industrial plotted areas.

Additionally, 40,118 square metres will be designated for warehouse areas, 26,579 square metres for commercial areas, and 122,467 square metres for amenities. The development will also include the construction of roads totaling 10.57 kilometres in the first phase and 10.15 kilometres in the second phase. Furthermore, 92,312 square metres in the first phase and 111,335 square metres in the second phase will be developed as landscape areas.

The Salempur industrial area will be connected to the Hathras-Mathura road (Hathras-Sikandara Rao main road). According to the master plan, the development will include road construction, a potable water supply network, a rising main network, bore well development, a recycled water supply network, a domestic sewage collection network, a solid waste treatment plant, and a CETP network for industrial waste collection and transportation.

Additionally, rainwater harvesting, storm-heavy rain drainage systems, SCADA, land development, facility buildings, entry gates, and boundary walls will be constructed. The entire area will be equipped with modern Wi-Fi and internet connectivity. All plots will also be equipped with plug-and-play facilities.
