SAIL’s call to quit smoking on World No Tobacco Day

Saturday, 01 June 2024 | PNS | BOKARO

On this World No Tobacco Day, the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) are urging citizens to take a stand against tobacco use. Tobacco consumption is a leading cause of preventable diseases and deaths worldwide, affecting millions of lives and burdening healthcare systems.

This year, the focus is on encouraging individuals to quit smoking and embrace a healthier lifestyle. SAIL, as a responsible corporate entity, supports this initiative by offering resources and programs designed to help employees and the community in their journey towards a smoke-free life.

SAIL appealed  to participate in World No Tobacco Day activities and take the pledge to quit smoking. By doing so, one not only improves his health but also contributes to a healthier, smoke-free community.
