Sachdeva urges BJP workers to start Gram Parikrama Abhiyan

Friday, 26 July 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Thursday appealed to the party workers during an executive meeting of the state Kisan Morcha to start Gram Parikrama Abhiyan and go to every booth in every village talking about the schemes by the Central Government ahead of the state assembly in 2025.

Sachdeva said, “If we have win the rural areas in 23 assembly constituencies in Delhi, then all of you Kisan Morcha workers and officers should start the Gram Parikrama Abhiyan and go to every booth in every village and do public relations and the schemes for public welfare by the Central Government need to be taken to the people.”

He added that as soon as BJP comes to power, the development schemes which have come to a standstill in Delhi, have to be run smoothly again and the people of Delhi should get the benefits of development.

The executive meeting of the Delhi State Kisan Morcha of BJP was organized at Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham in Alipur and was chaired by State President Kisan Morcha Vinod Sehrawat. It was also attended by Minister of State Harsh Malhotra and North West Delhi MP Yogendra Chandolia.

The Delhi BJP chief said that since 1961, there is a policy of giving alternative plots and shops in lieu of land acquisition to farmers but in 2016, the Kejriwal government cancelled the orders for allotment of alternative plots to farmers. “Because of this 16,500 farmers of Delhi were deprived of getting alternative plots. Not only this, it is quite shameful for the country's capital that there is a government here which does not even give farmers the status of farmers,” he alleged.

He claimed that the farmer status of farmers in Delhi was taken away by the Sheila Dikshit government of Congress, due to which they are deprived of the benefits being given to farmers across the country by the Central Government. “As soon as BJP comes to power, it will restore the farmer status, due to which the farmers of Delhi will be able to get the benefits being provided by the Central Government and along with this, problems of the farmers of Delhi like amendment in land laws, electricity connection, expensive agricultural fertilizers, unavailability of tractors will also be solved,” Sachdeva claimed.

North west MP said that Kejriwal's government has ruined Delhi, all development work has come to a standstill here. “Now the public wants freedom from the Kejriwal government. We have to fight the upcoming assembly elections with full preparation,” he appealed.

Further, Malhotra also addressed the executive meeting and threw light on the history of BJP in detail. “All of you will fight the upcoming assembly elections with strength by becoming disciplined workers of BJP by binding yourself in the thread of unity. Go to every booth, go to every village and make people aware of all the schemes of the central government,” he stated.
