Armed miscreants stole jewelry worth Rs 30 lakh from a jewelry shop D Sector of Ayodhya Nagar, miscreants broke 5 locks of the channel gate, then broke the shutter and entered inside, CCTV footage of the incident revealed the crime.According to the police, more than 6 miscreants had entered the Jain Jewelry Shop located in D Sector of Ayodhya Nagar.
The police investigated the spot with the forensic team, when a blockade was also put in the area, the accused fled by dodging the police in Piplani. Jewellery shop operator Vikas Jain said that the shop was closed at 10 pm on Thursday night. Late night around 2.30 am, local people informed about the broken shutter. After this, he reached the spot and informed the police.
Checked the CCTV installed in the shop. In the footage, about 7 people were seen breaking the shutter.After the shutter opened, 6 miscreants went inside, while one miscreant was sitting in the car parked outside. They searched the shop. After this, they started searching the counter. Some stuffed cash and jewelry inside shirts and vests, while some in bags. Whoever got hold of whatever, he kept on stuffing it.Ayodhya Nagar Police Station in-charge Mahesh Lillare said that a blockade was done to catch the miscreants.
During checking, suspects were found in a Scorpio in Piplani area. When they tried to stop them, they took advantage of the darkness and fled. They are being searched. Police said the jewelers had made strong arrangements for security. Earlier, a channel gate and a shutter inside it were installed.
There were five locks on the channel gate. There were two heavy locks on the shutter as well. Despite this, the miscreants cut the locks of the channel gate and then uprooted the lower part of the shutter.There is a suspicion of involvement of an outside and professional gang in the incident. Investigation is being done on the basis of clues found from CCTV footage.
