Rotary District 3250, encompassing Jharkhand and Bihar, hosted its annual awards ceremony, "Gracias," celebrating a year of exceptional service and dedication. The event, named after the Spanish word for "Thank You," took place at a prestigious hotel auditorium in Jamshedpur, drawing 108 Rotarians from across the district.
Rotary International, a secular organization with over 43,000 clubs and 1.4 million members worldwide, prides itself on inclusivity, welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds irrespective of caste, sex, color, or political ideology. Rotary members are leaders from various trades and professions, united in their commitment to community service and ethical standards.
District 3250, led by Governor Rotarian Shiv Prakash Bagaria, includes 110 clubs and over 4,100 active members. The district focuses on service projects in education, health, water, maternal and child safety, economic upliftment, environmental sustainability, and world peace, inspired by the United Nations' seven Sustainable Development Goals.
The Gracias ceremony recognized clubs and individuals for their outstanding contributions in various fields: Best Assistant Governor Anjani Nidhi, Best Secretary ( below 40 ) Mandira Gupta, Best Secretary ( Above 40) Sanjeev Boetra, Best President ( below 40 ) Ravi Agarwal, Best President ( Above 40) Vinay Dhandhania, Best Club ( below 40 ) Rotary Midtown Club, Best Club ( Above 40) Jamshedpur Steel City, Rotarian of the year Manish Jain and Deepak Dokania.
The event featured vibrant dance performances that delighted attendees, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. As the Rotary year concluded, District Governor Bagaria praised the district's achievements and the guidance of former governors.
