Bokaro Steel City, June 15, 2024:The Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City distributed approximately 1,200 bottles of mineral water to passengers traveling in the general class on the Hatia-Bardhaman Passenger Train at the Bokaro Steel City Railway Station.
The main aim of this initiative was to provide relief to lower-income train passengers from the scorching summer heat. All passengers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the club members for this noble effort. Overall, the event was highly successful, benefiting around 1,150 individuals.
The event saw the presence of several key members, including President Ghanshyam Das, Secretary Mahesh Gupta, former Presidents Ashok Taneja, Pradeep Singh, Bhawani Shankar Jaiswal, Madan Mannu Srivastava, along with Amrit Mahato, Alka Gupta, Sheela Jaiswal, Neelam Das, Ashok Kedia, and Naresh Lodha.
The station master of Bokaro Steel City Railway Station, A.K. Haldhar, CRPF Officer in Charge Santosh Kumar, and Area Manager Binit Kumar provided commendable support for the event.
At the end of the camp, A.K. Haldhar expressed his gratitude and encouraged the Rotary Club to organize more such camps in the future.
