A failed attempt to robbery at gunpoint was made by three miscreants at Kalpana Nagar on Tuesday afternoon, Piplani police have started investigation.
Police said on Tuesday afternoon, 4 miscreants broke into a businessman's house in Piplani area of the capital. The miscreants commited the crime by pointing a pistol at the businessman but miscreants were forced to flee when the businessman's son raised an alarm. The businessman has complained about the incident to the Piplani police station. The police are investigating the matter.
According to information Manish Tanwani lives in Kalpana Nagar of Piplani police station area. Manish Tanwani has a spectacles shop in Gandhi Market located in the BHEL area. He had gone to water the plants in his house at 4 pm on Tuesday where he found three miscreants were seen breaking the lock of the main gate of the house. When Manish Tanwani asked the miscreants about breaking the lock of the house, the miscreants pointed a pistol at him. They also took him inside the house and carried out the robbery.
Manish Tanwani's son, who was present in the house, started making noise. Scared by this, the miscreants fled from the businessman's house without taking the looted goods.
According to the information received from Piplani police station, the miscreants who entered the house of spectacle businessman Manish Tanwani, had reached his house in a white luxury car. When the businessman's son made noise, the three miscreants got the opportunity and fled from the spot leaving the looted goods.
Before the miscreants could come out of the businessman's house after carrying out the robbery by pointing a pistol, the businessman's son, who was present in the house, started making noise. Due to this, the miscreants left the businessman and fled in the car.
Piplani police station in-charge Anurag Lal said that an attempt was made to steal. However, all three could not commit the theft. A case is being registered against three unknown persons in this matter. Further action will be decided after this.
