A World Spiritual Festival under the aegis of Healthfulness Institute, to discuss world peace through spirituality, is being organised on June 16 at Mecon Community Hall, Ranchi. Mecon Limited and Rotary Club Ranchi are cooperating in organising the festival.

This festival, organised in four sessions, will be inaugurated at 10 am by the chief guest Vice Chancellor of Sarla Birla University Professor Dr. Gopal Pathak and Swami Shashankananda of Ramakrishna Mission.

In the first session, panelists Swami Nischalananda of Yogoda Satsang Society, President of Patanjali Mahila Prakoshtha Sudha Jha, Trustee of Chinmaya Mission Prakash Bagla and Brahma Kumar Indu of Brahma Kumari Sanstha will discuss 'Using inner peace and spirituality to live our daily life in a completely meaningful and effective manner in the present times'.

In the second session panelists Madhusudan Mukund Das, General Manager of ISKCON, Poonam Luthra of Sahaja Yoga, Dr. Shadma Shaheen of Rajendra Prasad Training College Bihar, Major GS Saluja, practitioner of Sikhism, Shipra Kashyap of Brighter Mind Ranchi will present their views on the topic of ‘Youth and Spirituality'. The third session will have Archbishop Father Vincent Aind, Rakesh Brahmmar of Art of Living, Swami Ankit Ji of Jainism and Islamic scholar Dr. Shahid Hasan will present their views on ‘Ecology and Peace’.

In the final session, panelists will present their views on ‘Expression of inner peace, harmony and gratitude’.

Festival coordinator Manoj Tiwari said that through the festival, an attempt is being made to develop mutual trust and respect among all religions by knowing and learning from each other.
