The re-certification audit of Bokaro Steel Plant's Quality Management System, ISO 9001: 2015, commenced under the leadership of Chief General Manager (MRD & Additional Charge SMS-New) Rajiv Dhawan and Chief General Manager (Quality) Manohar Lal. The audit was conducted by Amitabh Sengupta (Team Leader) and G.L. Mitra (Member) from TUV India. Sengupta provided a brief overview of TUV's auditing process and requirements, ensuring that auditors received all necessary support during the audit.
The audit encompassed various departments of BSL, including CO & CC, Sinter Plant, RMHP, Blast Furnace, SMS New, HSM, CRM-III, RMP, Structural Shop, Steel Foundry, PPC, I & A, ETL, RCL, MM-Purchase, HRD, and BE.
Auditors Amitabh Sengupta and G.L. Mitra discussed their findings with all stakeholders and offered significant recommendations for improvement. They also recommended re-certification. General Manager-In-Charge (Business Excellence) A.K. Sinha assured that all points would be addressed and implemented. The audit coordination was managed by Anupama Tiwari and B. Banerjee's team from the Business Excellence Department.
