Who’s who from the nation and prominent leaders from neighbouring countries have been invited to attend the swearing- in ceremony of Narendra Modi, who is set to become the Prime Minister for a third consecutive term on Sunday.

From Jharkhand BJP senior leaders including State BJP Chief Babulal Marandi, former State chiefs, Rajya Sabha MPs and newly elected Lok Sabha MPs, division heads and party veterans too have been called to attend the ceremony.

However, the real star from Ranchi, ASP Tirkey, a locomotive pilot working with the Ranchi Railway Division will also be present on the occasion.

Tirkey flew to New Delhi on Friday to attend the swearing- in ceremony of Prime Minister- elect Narendra Modi, which will take place on Sunday, June 9 at 7:15 pm at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

A resident of Ranchi, Tirkey has been serving in the Indian Railways since 1990. Known for his dedication and hard work, Tirkey is the only loco pilot to have been invited from the South Eastern Railways zone. Tirkey is amongst the 10 loco pilots who have been invited to attend the historic event of Narendra Maodi taking oath.

“I feel extremely honoured to have received an invitation to attend the swearing- in ceremony of the prime minister of India,” said Tirkey who is a pilot of the Vande Bharat Express and is involved in operating trains connecting Howrah and Varanasi from Ranchi.

“It is a very proud moment for us, for the entire division and also for South Eastern Railways that one of our member has been invited to attend the ceremony. This will go a long way in motivating other employees. Just like he is known for his good work, it will inspire others to work hard as well,” said Nishant Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager cum Chief Public Relations Officer of the Ranchi Railway Division.

Trikey has also served as a pilot for Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains and has also received the Best Railway Worker Award. As per the information shared, Tirkey is an Intermediate and ITI Ghaziabad graduate.
