Ram temple trust issuing online passes for aartis

Saturday, 17 February 2024 | PNS | Lucknow

For the convenience of the devotees of Lord Ram, the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has restored the facility of online passes due to heavy footfall. The Trust has begun issuing online passes for the Mangala and Shayan aartis at the Ram Lalla temple.

“Devotees eagerly awaiting to witness the aarti of Ram Lalla have already booked passes until February 28,” said Anil Mishra, a member of the Trust.

The Mangala aarti takes place at 4:30 am while the Shayan Aarti is held at 10:00 pm.

Initially, only 20 passes each are being issued for both aartis, with the number expected to increase gradually. Currently, the facility for issuing passes from the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust office counter has been closed.

According to the Trust, this facility will also be available within a week.

Mishra said that applications for online passes can be made on the Trust’s website srjbtkshetra.org.

“Children under 10 years of age do not require online passes and can accompany the pass holder to the aarti without one. It is mandatory to carry an identification document along with the pass to participate in the aarti,” he said and added: “In case a devotee cancels the pass for any reason, the booking can be transferred to another devotee but pass transfer will not be allowed.”

To attend the Mangala aarti, devotees must enter the premises by 4:00 am and for the Shayan aarti, entry must be by 9:30 pm at the latest.

The Trust has set guidelines for the devotees who want to take part in the aarti. Devotees are not permitted to carry garlands or offerings for the aarti. Payment of a minimum amount to the wheelchair assistant is required for availing assistance.
