Prof. Rajeev Srivastava has taken over as the Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi with effect from May 16, 2024. Srivastava was appointed as the Director IIIT Ranchi by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, Delhi in April 2024. The charge of Director, IIIT Ranchi was handed over to him by Prof. Deepak Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi who was also serving as the Director (In-Charge) of IIIT Ranchi.
Srivastava brings with him extensive experience in academia and administration and has previously served as the Dean of Resource and Alumni Affairs, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Head of the Centre for Computing and Information Services (CCIS) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) (BHU), Varanasi. With over 26 years of teaching experience, Srivastava has made significant contributions to the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
