Former Koderma MP and in-charge of BJP's Parivartan Yatra for North Chotanagpur, Ravindra Rai, held a press conference at Bokaro Parishadan , sharply criticizing the current State government. He stated that the BJP had envisioned great dreams while forming the state of Jharkhand, but under the present government, the state is witnessing a "jungle raj" situation. Rai claimed that since Hemant Soren's government came to power, Jharkhand has become a state of lawlessness, with rising instances of loot, the protection of rapists, and the resurgence of extremism. To free the people of Jharkhand from this chaos the BJP is carrying out its Parivartan Yatra.
Rai further mentioned that State Government made numerous promises before coming to power, none of which have been fulfilled. Unemployment remains rampant, and the youth have yet to receive unemployment allowances as promised. With elections just two months away, the government is now rolling out various schemes to win over the public. However, the overwhelming support received during the Parivartan Yatra clearly shows that the people of Jharkhand are ready for a "double-engine" government once again.
Further Speaking on the Mahiya Samman Yojana, Ravindra Rai pointed out that such schemes are already being implemented in BJP-ruled states like Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
The press conference was attended by Bokaro MLA and Chief Whip of the Opposition Biranchi Narayan, BJP District President Jaydev Rai, former district president Rohit Lal Singh, Sanjay Tyagi, Mukesh Rai, Kamlesh Rai, Mantu Rai, Mathur Mandal, Vinay Kishore, Braj Dubey, and Radhekant Singh.
