In a significant achievement, students of Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), Indore, have completed an innovative live project titled "Sustainable Indore - Waste to Wealth." This remarkable initiative, undertaken by students Ocean Jain and Pratham Mishra under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Girdharwal, explores Indore's pioneering waste management technologies, providing invaluable insights.
The project highlights best practices and policy implementations that have positioned Indore as a leader in sustainable waste management. It showcases the economic benefits of waste-to-wealth initiatives, demonstrating how these efforts can attract investment and foster economic growth.
Additionally, the project's findings illustrate how Indore's success story can serve as an educational case study, demonstrating the transition to sustainable waste management. In recognition of their exceptional work, Indore Mayor Pushya Mitra Bhargav awarded a certificate of appreciation to the PIMR students. Mayor Bhargav commended them for their critical thinking, research skills, and ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world issues, unraveling the complexities of waste management and emphasizing the importance of sustainability.

Col. Dr. S. Raman Iyer, Director of PIMR (UG Campus), emphasized that the students' research has also supported the Ahilya City Forest Project in Indore, which aims to create a green urban space.
