Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Wednesday announced the organization of street corner meetings at 3,800 Shakti Kendras across the national Capital, aiming to inform the public about the failures of Arvind Kejriwal’s government over the past 10 years and highlight local issues.
On Wednesday alone, such meetings were held at 256 key Shakti Kendras across Delhi. Various BJP MPs, state office bearers, and local speakers participated in these meetings. Northeast Delhi BJP MP Manoj Tiwari addressed the gathering in Sant Nagar, Burari, West Delhi BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat in Nawada, New Delhi BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj in Hauz Khas Mandal, former Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay in Malviya Nagar and BJP leader Sumit Bhasin in Janakpuri.
During the meetings, BJP leaders distributed charge sheets detailing local issues and the corruption of the Kejriwal government over the past decade. Tiwari said that the people of Burari have not only faced waterlogging but have also witnessed students losing their lives due to it.
“This time, the people of Burari are in the mood for change and are preparing to vote for the BJP to bring a double-engine government to Delhi in the upcoming assembly elections,” he said. Sehrawat stated that for the past 10 years, Delhi has had a government that neither gave farmer status to Delhi’s farmers nor provided them with any facilities.
She said that Arvind Kejriwal’s tenure has been marked by corruption and self-interest, which is now evident in the form of the “Sheesh Mahal.” The New Delhi BJP MP highlighted the bitter reality of the Delhi government’s failure, evident in the piles of garbage and filth visible on every street and corner.
She remarked that Delhi, which should have been a symbol of cleanliness and beauty, has become a hub of garbage. She emphasized that under a BJP government, the first priority will be to make the capital clean, beautiful, and garbage-free.
Further, in the meeting, Upadhyay mentioned that Kejriwal has engaged only in corrupt politics in Delhi. He added that due to the resentment of the local population against Kejriwal’s MLAs, their tickets are being canceled, or their constituencies are being changed.
“This time, the people of Delhi have resolved to bring a double-engine government,” he said.
