Police solve Rs 12 lakh robbery case reported at Rachna Nagar Tower on August 7

Bhopal police have nabbed three persons including a woman who were involved in robbery of Rs 12 lakh from the office of a liquor company in Rachna Tower on August 7, mastermind of the robbery was accountant who was fired by the company.

Police has arrested three accused including the ex- accountant of this company. One accused is absconding.

The accused accountant was fired from the liquor company on suspicion of embezzlement. With the intention of taking revenge, he hatched a conspiracy of robbery.

The office of the liquor company is in a flat in Rachna Tower, a multi-storey building of MLAs and MPs. The accused hired two goons from Uttar Pradesh. Transferred money to their bank account. Arranged for their stay in Bhopal. They recce  Rachna Tower. Along with showing them the flat from outside, he also told them the way to come and escaped using lift number 14.

On the day of the incident two miscreants entered the office of the liquor company located in a flat here and pointed a gun at the manager Shyam Sundar Jaiswal and taking him hostage they escaped with bag full of money.

Police announced a reward of Rs 30,000 for the arrest of the accused.

Police Commissioner Harinarayan Mishra said that three accused Madan Lal Sen, Sanjay Kashyap and Sushma Raikkwar have been arrested by the Crime Branch team. The place from where they were caught is considered to be the stronghold of criminals. One accused Charan Jat is absconding.

Police had prepared a road map of 25 kilometers to identify the accused. About 513 cameras installed on these routes were scanned. Out of the Rs 12 lakh of loot, Rs 6 lakh have been recovered from the accused. The remaining Rs 6 lakh are with the absconding accused.

Accused Madan lives in Lalghati, Bhopal. He had assured the criminals that at least Rs 40 lakh - Rs 50 lakh cash is kept in the office. He knew that manager Shyam Sundar wakes up first in the morning. He is the oldest among the four people living in the flat. He can be targeted and robbed easily.

Govindpura police said that two people reached the liquor company's office at 8.30 am on August 7. They knocked on the door. When the door did not open, they called out in the name of liquor company employee Virendra Gupta.

After this, 63-year-old manager Shyam Sundar Jaiswal opened the door. The miscreants asked about Virendra Gupta. On this, the manager made both of them sit inside the office.

When the miscreants asked for water to drink, the manager moved towards the kitchen. As soon as he turned, the miscreants took out a gun and pointed it at his back. Then they started asking about the cash kept in the office. They threatened to kill him if he did not tell.

The manager said that the money was kept on the first floor of the flat. The miscreants took him to the first floor. Here they picked up the bag full of money and came back down. Here they pushed the manager and ran away.

At the time of the robbery, there were four employees in the flat including manager Jaiswal. The manager went to open the gate without informing the other employees sleeping in the room. All three employees were sleeping during the crime.

The miscreants stayed in the flat for over 15 minutes. They locked both the rooms of the young men sleeping in them. After the crime, the complainant woke up the three companions present inside by making noise. Both the locked rooms were opened and the accused were searched in the building. After this, the police was informed.

Sushma Raikwar is acquainted with Madan. She had received Rs 50000 for helping in the robbery. Her job was to drop the accused to Rachna Tower. After the incident, she dropped the two accused in her vehicle to Madan near Lalghati. After this, Madan dropped the accused to the railway station the same evening. From where they went to their village in UP.
