Khandwa police have nabbed four miscreants involved in burglary of silver and gold jewelery and motorbike from jewelery shops and house at Borgaon; police have recovered 24.5 kg of silver and a car worth Rs 30 lakh.
Police said that on August 25 Jaideep Soni lodged a complaint regarding burglary at his Jaideep jewelry shop and house at village Borgaon, on August 24 at around 8.00 PM he closed the shop and went to house. At around 6.00 AM in the morning his father Prakashchand Soni informed that their shop was targeted and jewelery was burgled, when he went there he saw that the bars of the window of his house were broken and gold and silver items were lying scattered inside the shop. The silver jewellery kept in the showcase, cupboard and drawers of the house were missing.
Some unknown miscreant entered the house by cutting the bars of the window and stole the silver jewellery kept in the shop which was around 15 kg and Splendor motor cycle bearing registration number MP12MA4250 kept in front of the house and it was found that another shop in front of their shop owned by Rupesh was also targeted and silver jewellery weighing around 3 kg.
Based on the complaint case under sections 331(4), 305 BNS was registered at Pandhana police station and investigation was started.
The investigating team received information that the gang of thieves on which team members were sent towards Ujjain, Ratlam, Shajapur.
Police Station In-charge Sunhara District Shajapur informed that the members of the theft that took place in Borgaon are trying to escape towards Guna through the forest of Narmadanagar in Khandwa district. The accused have taken a Toyota car bearing registration number MP08CA3745 which was tracked and four persons were found in it. A large amount of gold and silver jewellery was found in the car. All the four persons were questioned and they accepted stealing from shops in Borgaon.
The accused were identified as Zahid Khan (39), Sandeep alias Dwarpal (20), Farhan Khan (28) and Narendra Pardi (28), all the accused are residents of Guna. Police are investigating criminal records of the accused.
Police have seized silver jewellery weighing 24 kg and gold jewellery weighing 120 grams worth Rs 30 lakh.
