Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is rich in mineral resources and plays a pivotal role in the mining sector of the country. Apart from this, the state ranks second in rock-phosphate production, third in limestone production required for the cement industry and fourth in coal production.

The state also ranks second in the production of coal-gas, which reflects its commitment towards alternative energy sources and sustainability.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through this conclave, the Madhya Pradesh government is taking initiative to make the state a major hub of mining and mineral-based industries. This will boost economic prosperity and employment opportunities in the state. All stakeholders, industrialists and experts of the mining sector have been invited to participate in this conclave.

The Mining Conclave will be attended by Union Minister of Mines G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State S.C. Dubey and Secretary Union Ministry of Mines V.L. Kanta Rao, who will provide necessary assistance from the Central Government to promote the mining sector in the state. More than 600 delegates will participate in this programme. Representatives of major companies like NCL, HCL, NMDC, ONGC, and GAIL and industrialists from other states will participate in it.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the conclave will bring mineral companies, industry representatives and other key stakeholders on one platform, encouraging collaboration and innovation. The event aims to showcase the rich mineral resources of Madhya Pradesh to attract investments in the state. The possibilities of coal, limestone, oil and gas, along with other important minerals will be discussed. The role of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in mining will also be emphasised.

The event will focus on digital transformation, energy security, and sustainability in which discussion on the use of AI and machine learning along with automation in mining operations will be held.

The possibilities of alternative energy sources like coal gas (CBM) will also be explored. There will also be a round table meeting for in-depth discussion on issues related to cement, energy, and mineral-based industries. In this conclave MoUs with several institutions will be signed, which will formalize investment proposals aimed at strengthening the mining infrastructure of the state.
