On November 10, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address public gatherings in Gumla and Chandanakiyari, Jharkhand, marking the first time any Prime Minister has visited the Chandanakiyari region since India’s independence. This historic visit has generated significant excitement among locals across nearby constituencies, including Nirsa, Bokaro, Bermo, Dhanbad, Giridih, and Sindri.
Leader of Opposition and local MLA, Amar Kumar Bauri, expressed that the people of Chandanakiyari are thrilled to see and hear from the Prime Minister, who they feel has benefited them through initiatives such as 24/7 electricity, Ayushman Bharat, the Ujjwala Scheme, and water supply through the Nal Se Jal program. He credited PM Modi with transforming India’s global standing and economy, stating that the nation’s borders are now more secure and that the revocation of Article 370 has fully integrated Kashmir.
Bauri further commented that PM Modi's visit will bring a shift in local political dynamics, suggesting it will clear misconceptions about the intentions of Jharkhand’s ruling coalition government. He also urged people to attend the rally and reminded skeptics that Cyber Cell is monitoring social media for any false rumors regarding the event, with potential legal action for violations.
At the press conference, several BJP leaders were present, including Assembly Coordinator Ambika Khawas, Assembly In-charge C.S. Singh, and former State Working Committee member Jogendra Yadav.
