As per the instructions of Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar and with the aim of keeping the environment safe and clean in the power companies of the Energy Department, the first phase of massive tree plantation took place in various sub-stations and residential colonies of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company under the tree plantation campaign. .
Against the target of planting 2000 plants, 3261 plants were planted in various sub-stations & colonies of the state including the headquarters of MP Transco (Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company), Jabalpur. Apart from the employees of MP Transco, there was great enthusiasm among their family members also regarding tree plantation, who enthusiastically planted trees in the residential colonies of MP Transco. Apart from oxygen emitting trees, these plants include various species of fruit and shade plants.
The workers and their family members voluntarily took the responsibility of taking care of these plants by taking oath.
Plantation of saplings in the premises of all the offices and residential colonies of MP Transco including 42 transmission line maintenance offices of the state, 416 Extra High tension sub-stations including the headquarter of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company in Jabalpur.
A campaign is being run in which plantation is being done by every employee including outsourced workers and their family members.
