In celebration of World Environment Day, the Municipal Corporation of Chas, in collaboration with the social organization World Green Line, launched an extensive tree plantation drive at the Municipal Corporation premises. The initiative aims to develop the Chas City Mini Forest across public areas and includes the planting of 1,000 trees within the municipal premises and surrounding government offices.
The event was attended by key officials, including Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania, Additional Municipal Commissioner of Chas, and Om Prakash Gupta, Sub-Divisional Officer of Chas. The plantation efforts were also supported by Assistant Municipal Commissioners Mukti Kiro and Priyanka Kumari, alongside municipal employees and World Green Line members such as Preeti Ranjan Das, Amrit Bauri, Sitesh Bharti, and Shambhu Das.
This initiative highlights the commitment of both the Municipal Corporation and World Green Line to increasing the green cover in Chas, promoting a healthier and more sustainable environment for the city's residents.
