Anjana Pawar, Vice-Chairperson of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis, interacted with officials from urban bodies and other departments in the state capital on Wednesday.
Calling for greater efforts for the implement of government schemes for the welfare of sanitation workers and their families, Pawar urged officials to address their problems to provide better living conditions.During the meeting, Pawar instructed that all sanitation workers should receive their salaries, pensions, and other benefits on time.
She emphasized the need to connect the families of sanitation workers with government welfare schemes and to ensure improved facilities in their communities.
Pawar also engaged in discussions with offic-bearers and representatives of various sanitation workers' organizations regarding the facilities provided and the issues faced by sanitation workers.
The meeting was attended by District Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, BMC Commissioner Harendra Narayan, CEO of Bhopal District Panchayat Rituraj Singh and others.
