Palamu DC cautions against mixing religion with politics

Wednesday, 09 October 2024 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

'There is no room for mixing religion with politics. Keep both at bay from each other. Administration will not accept any such mingling of religion with politics ahead of the vidhan sabha election' said Palamu DC Shashi Ranjan at the central peace committee meeting here on Monday.

The DC's warning has come at such a time when the GoGO Didi Form Filling controversy is raging in the state. The state government has asked the district administrations to clarify to the public that as of now there exists no such scheme of the name of GOGO Didi of the state government and hence beware of such a trap.

Giridh administration is learnt to have issued a public interest caution to such a fake scheme. More district administrations are expected to toe the same line of public caution.

The BJP in Jharkhand is very restive to the Hemant Soren government's  Maiyyan Samman Yojna and to diminish its electoral gains going to the Hemant Soren government, it has floated a scheme which has neither any 'bone and blood' but a total fallacy out to cheat gullible poor said sources.

Although DC who termed this central peace committee meeting as crucial didn't even remotely referred to this unborn scheme, had a different context when he said "Today what happens in Philistine or Kerala or Tamil Nadu, echoes of it are stirred here which has no logic or justification at all. Avoid such long meaningless pursuits."

SP Reeshma Ramesan was very guarded in her speech. She tried to keep a balance between police's firmness and public festivity.

SP Reeshma Ramesan in her address at this crucial meet asked Puja pandals' organisers not to 'have volunteers of any criminal background'.
