Monsoon seems to be active again in Jharkhand. Regarding this, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in many districts of Jharkhand. Along with this, a special bulletin has also been issued for agriculture and farmers.
It is raining in the state due to the monsoon turf line formed from Ganga Nagar, Rohtak, Delhi, Kanpur, Purulia to Digha. Due to which a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued for many districts of the state on August 16. At the same time, an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in 8-9 districts of the state for August 17 and August 18.
On August 16, a yellow alert has been issued for Gumla, Ranchi, Simdega, Khunti, West Singhbhum, Saraikela-Kharsawan and East Singhbhum of the state. The information of which has been given by the Meteorological Department. It has also said that there is a strong possibility of rain in many districts.
On August 17, an orange alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rains in Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, West Singhbhum, Khunti, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Bokaro and Dhanbad districts of the state and on August 18, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, Ranchi, Khunti, West Singhbhum, Ramgarh and Bokaro districts.
In view of the possibility of heavy to very heavy rains, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of minor damage to agricultural-horticultural crops and plantations and waterlogging in low-lying areas. It has also advised to make proper arrangements for drainage, harvest the ripe fruits and vegetables and keep them in a safe place and avoid going to waterlogged areas.
In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall has occurred in most areas of the state, while heavy rains have also been reported in many areas. The highest rainfall of 75 mm has been recorded in Netarhat of Latehar. During this period, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36.9 degree Celsius in Godda and the lowest temperature was recorded at 23.4 degree Celsius in Ranchi.
