Latehar Police got a big success, the police recovered a huge consignment of opium and in an another case Ramgarh Cantt Police has arrested two opium smugglers on the information of Lucknow Army Intelligence Unit.

On the basis of secret information received by Latehar SP Anjani Anjan, a police team was formed. The team was led by SDPO Arvind Kumar along with Chandwa police force and raided Subhash Chowk of Chandwa police station during a search operation and recovered about 5 kg 657 grams of opium.

The police arrested this opium smuggler Rajkumar Oraon. The arrested opium smuggler is a resident of Lawalaung in Chatra district.

It is known that the arrested opium smuggler was going from Chatra to Ranchi by bus, when the police conducted a search operation and recovered 5 kg 567 grams of opium tied in black plastic from the smuggler.

SDPO Arvind Kumar said that Latehar SP Anjani Anjan had received secret information. After the information, a police team was formed and a raid was conducted and opium smuggler Rajkumar Oraon and opium was recovered.

Along with the continuous raids against opium smugglers, opium cultivation is also being destroyed and the police campaign will continue in the future as well.

In Ramgarh both the smugglers were dealing inside the Army Cantt. Meanwhile, Army Jawans and Police raided and caught one of the accused. The other accused was later caught by Ramgarh Police after chasing him.

Army Intelligence received information on Saturday that opium deal is going to happen in the Cantt. Army Intelligence caught the Cantt smugglers in collaboration with the police.

Cantt Inspector said that the Army Intelligence team caught Shankar Kumar, a youth who had come to sell opium, and informed the police. After this, in the process of interrogation by the officer, the accused made an excuse of going to the bathroom and escaped on a motorcycle with his acquaintance Santosh Kumar by dodging the police. Both the accused were caught by the police after chasing them. Police has recovered opium from the arrested accused. Police is also trying to identify other accused by interrogating the accused.
