Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday said motorists must drive safely and avoid carelessness to save lives on the roads.
He said this while inaugurating a two-day National Road Safety Short Film Festival here which aims to raise awareness about road safety.
Addressing the programme, Sai said the traffic department had beautifully explained how accidents can be averted. Obeying traffic rules is a must to be safe and to save other lives too, he said.
On the inaugural day, 44 selected short films were shownd. A street play by the “Stay it With Me” group was also presented.
Also, traffic guide rewards were also given to the winners of the film festival.
