Students from many districts of Madhya Pradesh, led by NSUI medical wing, reached JP Hospital in the capital Bhopal and protested.
The protesting students said that they have given the PNST exam in 2023 for admission in government nursing colleges, but its result has not been released yet.
NSUI leader Ravi Parmar said that the Pre Nursing Selection Test (PNST) exam was conducted by PEB (Vyapam) in July 2023 for admission in the 2022-23 session. After giving the exam, the result is declared within an interval of 1 to 2 months, but the result has not been declared yet.
Ravi Parmar said that 66000 students had given the exam through PEB, crores of rupees were taken by PEB as examination fee but the result has not been released for 1 year, while admissions are being done in private nursing colleges in full swing. This makes the government's intention clear that the results of the entrance examination for government nursing colleges have not been declared yet only to give profit to private nursing colleges, due to which not a single girl student has been admitted in the government nursing colleges of Madhya Pradesh since 2022.
