Instilling a sense of pride in her hometown of Jabalpur, Advocate and educator, Nidhi Kaur, has brought home the prestigious "Global Changemaker Award" conferred on her at the United Nations Impact Directors Conference.
This conference was held in Istanbul, Turkey, between 4-7 October. Notably, Nidhi is also a member of UN Women, UK. Nearly a 100 delegates from around the world participated in the conference. Advocate Nidhi addressed the conference on immigration law and disability rights.
She highlighted that just as Afghan refugees are granted emergency entry into the UK, differently-abled individuals should also be given special privileges like an e-visa, as they may often be unable to undergo biometric processes.
Her dedication to social justice and innovation earned her this prestigious award, bringing pride not just to Jabalpur, but to the entire state and country. It is worth mentioning that Advocate Nidhi has always been a strong advocate for women's safety and rights.
