As the New Year approaches, residents are gearing up to celebrate with family and friends at their favorite picnic spots. However, incidents of anti-social elements openly consuming alcohol and harassing visitors at these locations have dampened the festive spirit.
Such behavior is not limited to picnic spots alone. Drunkards often gather near liquor shops, creating trouble for passersby. As evening falls, these areas become difficult to navigate, especially for pedestrians.
Addressing the issue, City DSP Alok Ranjan issued a strict warning. He said, “Our police teams are conducting regular raids on drunkards. There will be strict surveillance around picnic spots and liquor shops. People can celebrate their picnics fearlessly. If anyone notices such activities, they should immediately inform their nearest police station or me directly.”
He further assured that the police administration is committed to taking stern action against such offenders. Under his leadership, continuous raids are being conducted in these areas, creating panic among those engaging in such activities.
Appeal from the Police Administration
The police have urged citizens to report any disturbances or troublemakers to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for New Year celebrations.
Residents are optimistic that the proactive approach of City DSP Alok Ranjan and the police will ensure security at public spaces and picnic spots, allowing everyone to welcome the New Year in a festive and worry-free atmosphere.
