Innocent children were being made to work in a liquor factory in Raisen. More than 50 children were found working here. The team of the National Child Protection Commission raided here on Saturday. The skin of the children's hands were damaged while working. They were brought to the factory in a school bus.
The case is of Som factory located in Sehatganj. National Child Protection Commission Chairman Priyank Kanungo along with his team rescued 59 child laborers on Saturday afternoon. This also includes 20 girls. These children are from Raisen, Bhopal and Sehatganj area.
Priyank Kanungo said that a complaint was received from Bachpan Bachao Andolan that children are made to make liquor in this factory for 15-16 hours. They were engaged in this work for a long time. A school bus was found parked outside the factory.

Kanungo alleged that this was happening in connivance with the excise inspector Vivek Saxena and in front of his eyes. He was sitting with his eyes closed. He reprimanded the inspector. During this, he was seen folding his hands.
He said that we will write a letter to the government to take action against the excise inspector.
SDOP Pratibha Sharma said that action is being taken as per the letter of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Verification of 58 children is being done in front of the CWC. What is the age of the children? Where do they bring the children from or are the children coming here under pressure from someone. A two-member team of CWC is questioning the children on all these points. It includes a chairman and a member. The investigation will take time. On that basis, action will be taken to register an FIR against Som Factory.
Earlier on Friday, the Child Protection Commission team raided Mandideep in Raisen district. Here, 21 child labourers were found working in the biscuit factory LM Bakers. Parle G biscuits were being made here. A total of 36 children were rescued from 3 institutions. It has been learnt that these include tribal children from Chhindwara and other states.
Meanwhile, National Child Protection Commission Chairman Priyank Kanungo has asked the Madhya Pradesh government to send Hindu children studying in madrasas to normal schools. He held a meeting with officers of 8 departments in Bhopal on Friday.
He said that these Islamic institutions (madrasas) do not come under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. After this, officials of the School Education Department said that action is being taken on the basis of the guidelines of the Government of India.
