National Space Day will be celebrated on August 23 in the schools of the state. On this occasion, programmes will be organised on a large scale in all the schools. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had announced to celebrate this day as Space Day every year on August 23, 2023 to commemorate the success of Chandrayaan-3.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, conferences, workshops and exhibitions centred on space science will be organised in schools and teaching-training institutes on 22 and 23 August in the state. Through these programmes, children will be inspired towards space science and their solutions will be provided according to their awareness. This year the theme of Space Day has been kept as “Touching lives while touching the Moon: India's Space Saga”. In this regard, the Education Ministry of the Central Government has also issued instructions to all the state governments keeping in mind the theme of Space Day.
The Commissioner Directorate of Public Instructions has issued instructions to all the District Education Officers of the state regarding the Space Day programme to be held on 22-23 August and has asked them to ensure maximum participation of children.
