My legacy to the nation will be a developed and robust India: Modi

Sunday, 05 May 2024 | PNS | Ranchi/Lohardaga/Palamu

In two back to back election rallies held in Palamu and Lohardaga constituencies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today emphasized his commitment to leaving behind a developed India for the future generations. He expressed a heartfelt desire for the youth of the nation to inherit a nation free from the hardships he had faced in his own journey.

Addressing the rallies in on Saturday Modi said, “It will be 25 years from now that I have been serving as CM and PM. But till date, I have not been accused of any kind of scam. I have the prayers and blessings of sisters and mothers. Even today, I am away from position, prestige and prosperity.”

“Modi was born for a mission, not for leading a lavish life. JMM -Congress leaders have amassed immense wealth through corruption and I don't even own a bicycle. They are earning everything for their children. They will leave behind their black money for their children. But, for whom will Modi leave it? Your children are my heirs. My wish is that I leave a developed India for you and your children as a legacy so that you never have to live a troubled life. You never have to see what I and my family have seen,” said Modi.

Addressing issues of Maoist violence and terrorism, Modi credited the electorate for their role in combating these threats through their votes. He emphasized the transformative changes brought about under his leadership, including a decisive stance against terrorism and ensuring national security.

“This is new India. It enters the house and kills. Surgical strikes and air strikes shook Pakistan. Earlier it used to happen every month when the youth of Jharkhand used to get martyred. They used to come wrapped in the tricolour. Now this has stopped. The cowardly government of Congress used to go to the world and cry. Now the time is gone when we used to go and cry. Today, Pakistan is crying. It is shouting for help. A strong India now only wants a strong government. Modi government is needed for a strong government,” said the PM.

Attacking the opposition, Modi said that during the Congress rule, ration used to rot and children used to die of hunger in tribal areas. “I am giving free food grains so that the children of the poor do not go hungry, but they are now shouting at me as to why am I giving food grains for free. Modi has given you the guarantee of free ration. No matter how the earth turns, no one can stop you from getting free ration because this is Modi's guarantee,” he said.

Modi said that the INDI Alliance is holding rallies to save the corrupt. “In the coming five years, a law will be implemented against all such corrupt people. Modi has been in power for 10 years. He is running the government with pride. I have protected the Constitution for 10 years. In 60 years of rule, Congress gave the country nepotism, corruption. And now they are appeasing minorities. In the glasses that Congress wears, only one vote bank is visible - the Muslim vote bank, whereas BJP talks about development of all,” he said.

The PM said that the people of INDI Alliance themselves are planning to steal the reservation of ST, SC and OBC. “When the Constitution was made, it was decided that there would be no reservation in the name of religion. Congress wants to snatch your rights and give them to Muslims. As long as Modi is alive, I will not allow the reservation of Dalits, tribals, ST, SC to be stolen,” he said.

In his closing remarks, Modi rallied support for the BJP, positioning his government as the harbinger of progress and development for all sections of society.
