Shivering with severe cold, the state recorded temperatures nearing freezing in Pachmarhi at 1.8 degree celsius on Tuesday, and several regions experienced intense cold day conditions on Wednesday.
The Met has issued warning of cold wave and cold day conditions at Rajgarh, Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Indore, Shajapur, Tikamgarh, Niwari districts while sold wave at Isolated Places In Narmadapuram, Khandwa, Barwani, Dhar, Agar, Guna, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Seoni, Sagar Districts.
Cold day conditions would be witnessed in Betul, Harda, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Sidhi, Rewa, Satna, Umaria, Panna, Chhatarpur districts according to the Met warning.
Providing a much needed relief, school timings were revised to 9 am in the state capital, DEO issued orders of schools opening at 9 am from Thursday.

They fell markedly below normal in districts of Bhopal, Ujjain divisions; fell appreciably below normal in districts of Indore, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Rewa, Shahdol, Sagar divisions; fell below normal in districts of Jabalpur division.
