A property developer couple duped a doctor to the tune of Rs 30.60 lakh, accused sold the plot mortgaged in the bank whereas the victim had bought the plot from the bank through auction.
When the fraud was revealed, the victim doctor filed a complaint in the court. On the order of the court, the police have registered a case of fraud against the builder couple and the bank manager and started searching for them.
According to Sub Inspector Upendra Singh, Chandrashekhar Singh, who lives in Mumbai, is a doctor by profession. He had bought a plot in Khanuja Enclave Shahpura in auction from Bank of Maharashtra. The registry of which was also done in the bank, but when he went to take possession of the plot, it was found that builder Ravindra Khanuja and his son Paramjeet Khanuja had already sold the plot mortgaged in the bank.
Not only this, its registry was also done. On coming to know about this, the doctor filed a complaint against the accused in the court.
Meanwhile a retired army man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling in Neelbad area reason behind the suicide remained unclear and would be investigated, said police.
According to the information received from Ratibad police, 45-year-old Pramod Pandey lived in Vishal Nagar Neelbad. He had retired from the post of Army Personnel . After having lunch on Thursday afternoon, he took medicine and went to sleep in his room. When he did not come out of the room till five in the evening, his wife Alpana Pandey went to wake him up.
Here she found her husband Pramod hanging from the ceiling. She took him to the hospital where the doctor declared him dead. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
The deceased's father MP Pandey said that his son had started drinking excessive alcohol. After retiring from the army, he was working as a guard in a private security agency. He had started drinking more alcohol in the last three years. He used to get into arguments with his wife when she stopped him from drinking. He was depressed for the last few days. He used to spend a large part of his earnings on drinking alcohol.
