Monsoon enters 17 more districts, covers total 49 districts now

Monsoon has entered 17 districts in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday afternoon.

Today, the southwest monsoon has entered Jhabua, Ratlam, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar, Shajapur, Rajgarh, Guna, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Maihar, Rewa and Mauganj districts. Including these, the monsoon has become active in a total of 49 districts so far. Monsoon has not yet entered some districts of Gwalior and Chambal.

IMD Bhopal told there are two western disturbances, two cyclonic circulation systems in the state. At the same time, the trough line is also passing. Due to this, there is a situation of storm, rain and thunder in the entire state. Similar weather will remain on Tuesday as well. There is an alert of storm and thunder in 43 districts including Bhopal, Indore. It may also rain at some places. Heavy rain will continue in the coming days.

On Monday, Narmadapuram-Ratlam received more than 1 inch of rain. At the same time, water fell in many districts including Bhopal, Chhindwara, Sagar, Gwalior.

Monsoon has reached 49 districts of the state. These include Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Alirajpur, Barwani, Dhar, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Dewas, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Harda, Betul, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Sagar, Damoh, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Sidhi, Singrauli, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Anuppur, Jhabua, Ratlam, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar, Shajapur, Rajgarh, Guna, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Maihar, Rewa and Mauganj districts.

The Met told that due to Western Disturbance, Cyclonic Circulation and Trough Line, rain activities are taking place in the state. Another system is becoming active in the Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours.

It rained in Bhopal on Tuesday afternoon. Before this, the atmosphere was humid and hot throughout the day. The weather suddenly changed at around 4.30 pm, and it started raining in many nearby areas including MP Nagar. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain for the next three days.

All the rain that falls in the month of June, it happened in 4 days only. From 21 June till now, Bhopal has received a total of 187.1 mm i.e., 7.3 inches of rain. There is an alert of heavy rain for four days including Tuesday. This will increase the figure even more.

The average rainfall in the capital in the month of June is 132.8 mm i.e., 5.2 inches. Usually, heavy rain occurs only after the onset of monsoon by 20 June, but this time heavy rain occurred even before the arrival of monsoon. Monsoon entered Bhopal on June 23. It has been raining in Bhopal since two days ago. Due to this, the rainfall figure has reached 7.3 inches. The highest rainfall has occurred at Bairagarh station.

Bhopal is expected to receive 106 percent rainfall this time. Last time, it was 18 percent less, i.e., 82 percent (30.9 inches), while the normal rainfall in Bhopal is 37.6 inches. Meteorologists said  that even though the monsoon arrived 3 days late this time, it will rain well.

This time the pre-monsoon has rained heavily in the city. 4.8 inches of rainfall was recorded on the night of June 21. This is the second record of highest rainfall in 24 hours. The record of highest rainfall in 24 hours is on June 22, 1986. More than 5 inches of rain fell on this day.

There is an alert of heavy rain on June 26 as well. The mercury can reach 34 degrees during the day and 24 degrees at night.
