Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Under its CSR initiative providing free of cost Cleft Lip, Cleft Palate surgeries in association with Mission Smile at Devkamal Hospital, Ranchi to 175 beneficiaries in 2024. Through this partnership 170 patients have been operated on already in the previous year. These 175 surgeries will be provided through 1 surgical Mission in February 2024 and our regular Centre activities at Devkamal Hospital throughout the year. All these surgeries will be performed through a team of medical experts from the field of Plastic Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics, Dentistry, Speech Language Pathology and trained Nurses.

A formal Inauguration program was held today to inaugurate the Mission starting today which shall be continued until 27th of February, 2024. Dr John F Kennedy, Director-Institute of Public Health, Jharkhand was present there as chief guest and formally inaugurated the mission in presence of Rakesh Roushan, CSR Head of IOCL, Bihar state office, Dr Anant Sinha, CEO Devkamal Hospital, Kishor Mantri, Chairman ICC-Jharkhand Chapter, Dr Annu Theagrajan, Anaesthesia Team Leader of the Mission.

Rakesh Roushan from IOCL has appreciated the efforts of Mission Smile and Devkamal Hospital in their journey of transforming Clefts to Smiles and further expressed his happiness by saying that the IOCL always works with its moto of "Pehle India Phir Oil" and will always put its best efforts for the betterment of the society under CSR initiative.

A total of 55 surgeries will be done during the special Mission days and thereafter regular surgeries will continue under the centre model.
