Misrod police have booked a youth for sexually assaulting and blackmailing 17-year-old girl; search for the accused has been started.

A shocking incident has been reported in the Misrod area of the state capital. The incident of raping a 17-year-old girl by barging into her house on Friday has created a sensation in the area. The accused minor first made friends with her and then started blackmailing her.

On this matter, the police said that the accused used to threaten to share obscene videos of the minor girl if she did not have physical relations with him. For the last several months, he was pressurizing her to rape her by threatening. The scared girl kept quiet at first, but fed up with the constant harassment, she finally gathered courage and told her parents about her ordeal.

The police said that the 17-year-old victim is a student of class 11th. She said that the accused minor boy had befriended her on Instagram this year. Both of them started chatting with each other and the girl gave the accused information about her family. She said that she has three sisters. Her father is ill. When he came to know that the girl and her sisters remain alone for several days when their father is hospitalized, the accused boy started pressuring her to meet him. In February, he got an opportunity and reached the student's house at around 1 am in the absence of the victim's parents and raped her. When she protested, the accused threatened her that he had recorded her video on his smartphone.
