Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the spiritual and cultural significance of cow rearing, stating that 33 crore Gods and Goddesses reside in Gaumata.

He explained, "The one who rears cattle is Gopal, and a home where a herd of cattle is raised is a Gokul." He urged every individual and family to adopt cow rearing as a part of their household practices.

Yadav highlighted the need to promote cow rearing without discrimination based on religion, language, caste, or region. He pointed out that traditionally, people of all religions and castes in India have been involved in cow rearing, symbolizing the nation's social harmony.  The Chief Minister was addressing the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for a hi-tech cowshed with a capacity for 10,000 cows in Barkhedi Dob village, Bhopal. The cowshed, spread over 25 acres, will be constructed at a cost of ?15 crore. During his visit to the site, Dr. Yadav inspected the cowshed, offered food to the cattle, and participated in the Bhoomi-Pujan.

A short film showcasing the state's initiatives for cattle protection and increased milk production was also screened during the event. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Smt. Krishna Gaur, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairying (Independent Charge) Shri Lakhan Patel, MP Shri Alok Sharma, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, Mayor  Malti Rai, District Panchayat President Smt. Ramkunwar Naurang Singh Gurjar and public representatives were present.

Yadav said that in most of the countries of the world, cow milk is used. The importance of the cow in Sanatan culture becomes clear from the fact that Gaudaan is considered necessary to complete human life. The importance of cow shelters is continuously increasing in the changing lifestyle. Given this, the state government is actively working towards setting up huge cowsheds. So far in the current year 300 cow sheds have been registered. Various social organizations are also taking the initiative to operate cowsheds. Along with the economic empowerment of the families, cow rearing is also helpful in providing nutritious food items to the family. Therefore, milk production will be encouraged by providing calves to every home. Yadav said that the state government is soon making arrangements to give bonuses on milk production. At present Madhya Pradesh contributes 9 percent to the total milk production of the country. The target is to take it to 20 percent in the next five years.

Yadav announced to make Government School Sukhi Sewaniya a CM Rise School and Sukhi Sewaniya Road to be made four lane. He said developing Barkhedi Dob area as an industrial area will generate job opportunities.

The Chief Minister said that gaumata related degree-diploma courses will be initiated by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University.

Swami Shri Achyutanand Ji Maharaj, while appreciating the efforts being made by the Madhya Pradesh government in the field of cow conservation and cow promotion, said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, in a short time, after government formation, has made arrangements for the rearing of 50 thousand cows and has taken a pledge to take care of lakhs of cows in the state. Madhya Pradesh government is celebrating this year as Cow Promotion Year. Today, the establishment of Gaulok Dham here is a meaningful effort in this regard. All the Mahatmas and all sages have thanked and blessed Yadav for his efforts. The upkeep of mother cows is the responsibility of all Sanatanis. We should make effort that every house has a cow. A house is empty without gaumata.
