A meeting attempting to speed up ongoing work for the Bhopal Metro Rail Project was chaired by ADM Siddharth Jain in the state capital on Wednesday.
The meeting attempted to bring on track, the removal of encroachments, land wllocation, and disbursement of compensation to displaced people and establishments. Officials discussed the clearing of encroachments at Jinsi Chauraha, Irani Dera, and near Platform No 6 at Bhopal Junction railway station.The group reached an agreement on land allocation near Sindhi Colony and compensation for those affected.
The officials also decided to conduct a survey for the proposed Metro Blue Line in the Bairagarh – Chiklod area on Monday. ADM assigned SDM Bairagarh Aditya Jain and SDM City Deepak Pandey to oversee the implementation of the decisions.
