To promote solar energy and sustainable development and energy conservation, a meeting was organized by the Ministry of Culture at the Indira Gandhi rashtriya manav sangrahalaya Bhopal on Wednesday.
Under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme of the Central Government a consensus was reached on installing solar panel systems in the intimate building, gallery complex and vacant spaces in the sangrahalaya.
The government will also provide subsidy for installing solar panel system. Through this scheme, the museum will get an opportunity to increase its income and free electricity will be provided inside the museum. The entire manav sangrahalaya will be a green campus.It will be the first solar energy museum to be bathed in solar light. This museum will have its own power grid. Solar light poles will be installed at short distances on every path of the museum. Milky light poles will be installed on them. In this regard, Director Prof. Amitabh Pandey said that solar energy is a renewable source, which means that it can be produced indefinitely without the resources getting exhausted.
