Chunabhatti police have booked a youth for sexually assaulting an Gwalior based an MBA student.
On the complaint of the student, Chunabhatti police has registered a case of rape against the youth.
The student met the accused six months ago during a train journey. Then both of them started talking by sharing mobile numbers with each other.
Chunabhatti police said that an MBA student living in Ayodhya bypass area has lodged a complaint against Gwalior resident Shubham Dubey. The accused youth called the student to a hotel located in front of Bansal Hospital in Shahpura two days ago to meet. When the student protested against the molestation, the youth beat her up.
Also, he blackmailed her by threatening to commit suicide by jumping from the roof of the hotel and committed the rape. On Friday, the student came to the police station and complained about Gwalior resident Shubham. After this, a case of rape has been registered against Shubham.
Chunabhatti police station in-charge Bhupendra Kaul Sidhu said that the MBA student had gone to Mathura with her family six months ago. Here, while boarding the train at the railway station, the student got separated from her family. In a hurry, she entered the second bogie of the train and her family entered the other coach. The student did not have a mobile phone till then.
Due to this, she asked for help to make a call to her family from the mobile phone of the youth (Shubham) traveling in the train. Shubham allowed the student to make a call on his mobile. After this, Shubham started talking to the student by making different excuses. After some time, both of them became friends.
The police said that after the train left Mathura, when the train stopped at the next stop, she went to the reserved seat to be with her family.
Shubham saved the contact number of the student in his mobile as soon as she left.
