On the last day of nomination, BJP candidates including Gamliyel Hembrom from Barhet, Littipara candidate Babudhan Murmu, Navneet Hembram from Maheshpur Assembly and Vikas Mahato from Tundi filed their nomination papers. The candidates were accompanied by BJP state president Babulal Marandi and other senior BJP leaders. After the nomination process, BJP state president Babulal Marandi targeted the Hemant Soren government and said that it is very important to implement NRC to save the existence of tribals in the state and to stop infiltration particularly in Santhal Pargana which is witnessing a demography change.
He said that under the protection of JMM-Congress, illegal documents are being prepared for Bangladeshi infiltrators in the state, which are signs of serious danger for the state. Presenting the census data of 1951, he expressed concern about the decreasing population of tribals. He said that the tribal population in the state was 36%, which has decreased to 26% in the 2011 census. At the same time, the population of Muslims has increased from 9% to about 14.5%. He further said that the population of Hindus in the state has also decreased by about 7% from 88% to 81%.
Babulal Marandi said that the population of tribal communities has decreased by 16% in six districts of Santhal including Sahibganj, Pakur, Dumka, Godda and Jamtara. At the same time, the population of Muslims has increased by 13%. He said that the number of Muslims has increased the most in Sahibganj and Pakur by 35%.
He said that in the area of Santhal Pargana, Muslim youth are trying to change the demography by marrying tribal sisters. He said that as soon as the BJP government is formed in the state, the infiltrators will be thrown out one by one.
He said that BJP does what it says. The way the Hemant government has cheated the people of the state by making promises like five lakh jobs, stove expenses. If the BJP government is formed in the state, then 2 lakh 87 thousand posts of the state will be filled. Women will be given Rs 2100 per month under the Gogo Diggi scheme. Jharkhandis will be given gas cylinders for Rs 500 and 2 gas cylinders will be given free during festivals every year. He said that the Hemant government did not allow PM housing to reach the poor of the state. But after the formation of the BJP government, 21 lakh people in the state will be given the benefit of PM housing. To teach a lesson to this useless Hemant government, the public has made up its mind for change.
