The district administration, under the guidance of the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner, Ananya Mittal has launched a significant encroachment removal campaign in Mango to address the persistent traffic problems in the area. With a focus on ensuring smoother traffic flow and public safety, the initiative aims to free key routes from unauthorized obstructions.
The campaign, spearheaded by the administration, targeted the stretch from Dimna Chowk to Mango Chowk and Mango Bridge, which has long been plagued by traffic congestion. Magistrates, police officers, and an adequate police force were deputed to ensure the campaign’s success. Temporary setups by vegetable vendors and roadside shopkeepers were dismantled, and extensions of several permanent shops encroaching on public space were removed.
To reinforce the importance of public safety, shopkeepers were warned against encroaching on roadsides in the future. They were instructed to set up their businesses in designated open spaces to avoid traffic jams and potential risks to life and property. Violators were cautioned about strict legal consequences for repeated encroachments.
The encroachment removal drive was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Municipal Commissioner of Mango Municipal Corporation, Aaqib Javed, and Arvind Agarwal, who acted as magistrates for the operation. Police officers from Mango and Azadnagar police stations, along with a substantial police force, ensured smooth execution of the campaign.
Prior to the campaign, ADM Law and Order held meetings with stakeholders to formulate an effective strategy for removing encroachments. This collaborative approach aimed to alleviate the struggles faced by the people of Mango area due to traffic jams.
Following the campaign, ADM Law and Order Aniket Sachan and City SP Kumar Shivashish conducted inspections of critical locations, including the bus stand, Mango Chowk, and Dimna Chowk. They reviewed the traffic conditions, provided necessary instructions to officials, and discussed long-term measures for sustaining a jam-free Mango.
The traffic system has shown noticeable improvement since the campaign. Vehicles are moving more freely, reducing delays and frustration for commuters. Additional manpower has been deployed to regulate traffic and ensure continued smooth movement.
The district administration is committed to maintaining the positive outcomes of this initiative. Regular reviews and further steps will be undertaken to enhance traffic management and prevent the recurrence of encroachments. The administration is dedicated to creating a more efficient and safer environment for the residents of Mango.
This encroachment removal drive signifies a crucial step towards resolving the longstanding traffic issues in Mango and sets a precedent for proactive governance and public welfare.
