Lucknow man commits suicide by inhaling Nitrogen gas

A 32-year-old Lucknow based man committed suicide by inhaling nitrogen gas after self-suffocating himself using  polythene at Nirupam Royal Campus of Jatkhedi area on Tuesday night; he failed to achieve in life claims the four-page suicide note.

Police reached the house on the information of his friend and found his body lying on the floor. A polythene was tied on his face. The pipe of which was connected to the cylinder of nitrogen gas.

The man first tied the polythene on his mouth for suicide. After this, he put the tube of the cylinder in his mouth and turned on the gas. Due to which he died. He had not come out of the room for two days.

The man identified as Siddharth hailed from Lucknow. He used to work in transport while living in a rented house in Nirupam Royal Campus of Jatkhedi area.

The police have recovered a 4-page suicide note written in English from the spot. In which he has written that he wanted to do a lot in his life. Wanted to do a lot of work, but could not do anything. I have got failure from every side. I am tired of such a life. That is why I am ending my life.

He also wrote that he learned this method of suicide from YouTube. This seemed to be the easiest way to die. It seems better to die in this way. He has written that he is dying because he has failed from all sides. He also wrote that whatever he wanted to do, he could never do it.

Police found prescriptions, empty glasses and other things from spot. When Siddharth was not seen for 2 days, his friend informed police.

A young man named Kedar Kadam also worked in transport along with Siddharth. Kedar also lives in the same campus. When Kedar did not see Siddharth for two days. Nor did he talk to him on the phone, he went to meet him on Tuesday evening. The room was locked from inside. He knocked on the door, but Siddharth's voice did not come from inside. Fearing something untoward, he informed the police.

The police reached the spot and opened the door by pushing it. Siddharth's body was lying inside. Polythene was tied on his mouth. A tube was attached to his mouth. A nitrogen cylinder was lying nearby. He died two days ago. The police have started the investigation after registering a case.

ACP Rajneesh Kashyap said that on reaching the spot after getting the information, the youth Siddharth's head was covered with polythene. A nitrogen gas cylinder was connected to a pipe in it. An empty glass and some medicines were found lying nearby. He was also undergoing treatment. The matter is being investigated.
