The Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Tuesday secured a comfortable win on the South Delhi Lok Sabha seat against the joint AAP and INDIA alliance Sahiram Pahalwan with a margin of over 1.24 lakh votes.BSP’s Abdul Basit received 9861 votes.
Bidhuri replaced the two time MP Ramesh Bidhuri following his controversy in the Parliament with the former BSP MP Danish Ali. The BJP’s Badarpur MLA has claimed the victory by securing more than 6.92 lakhs votes. On the other hand, his primary opponent managed to secure 5.68 lakhs votes.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Bidhuri expressed his happiness with the clean sweep in Delhi for a consecutive third time and said, “Modi in the heart of Delhi. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the BJP candidates on their victory in all seven seats in Delhi. Special thanks to the voters of Delhi, who gave their blessings to the BJP candidates to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time.”
