In a tragic incident, Niyuti Devi, a 45-year-old resident of Haraikurwa village in Saharjori Panchayat under the Chandanakiyari Assembly constituency, lost her life on October 22, 2024, after falling into a paddy-threshing machine. Upon hearing of the accident, Leader of the Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri visited the grieving family to offer his condolences. During his visit, he emphasized the need for caution while working in such environments and urged local youth to raise awareness about safety measures in these activities.
